If you prefer to indulge in an alcoholic beverage every now and then, leave your cash at home if you plan to do your consuming in a betting house. I’m serious. clean out your billfold, your wallet, and keep all cash, credit cards and cheques at home. Take just the cash you intend to use on beverages, tipping and whatever loose change you intend to lose and leave the rest behind.
Contemptuous? Not at all. Practical really. You may well discover a success after a boozy night out with your buddies and be lucky enough to hit a marathon roll at a smokin’ craps table. Hang on to that tale because it is as brief as it gets if you continually drink and bet. The 2 just do not mix.
Keeping your cash at home is a little drastic, but precautionary actions for drastic behavior is relative and necessary. If you wager to succeed, then don’t drink and gamble. If you can manage to throw away your money without a second thought, then consume all the free alcohol your gut can handle, but do not take bank cards and chequebooks to throw into the combination of chasing losses after your drunken brain loses everything!
